Musher, faithful dog companion, to visit Hubenak ElementaryThree-time Iditarod racer Karen Land and her husky, Borage, will share her experiences as a musher in the world’s most famous Sled Dog Race with the students and staff at Hubenak Elementary in Richmond, TX. Ms. Land and her dog will be at Hubenak Elementary (Home of the Huskies!), Thursday, February 25, with presentations at 10:25 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Land’s appearance is made possible through a grant from the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation. Hubenak Elementary is located at 11344 Rancho Bella Pkwy, in Richmond. Note: If you put in the above address into Google Maps it will ask you if you mean "Rancho Bella Pkwy, Fulshear-Simonton, Fort Bend, Texas 77406." That is the correct address. The school is located about 10 minutes from where the Westpark Tollway meets the Grand Parkway.
