New Teacher Roundup set for August 19

Join the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (L.E.A.F.), the Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance and Safari Texas Ranch as they say “Howdy!” to a Lamar CISD’s newest crop of teachers.

The 44th edition of the “New Teacher Roundup” party to welcome teachers will be Thursday, August 19, at the Safari Texas Ranch, starting at 6 p.m.

“Our goal for this party is to make the teachers feel welcome and a part of our community from the moment they begin their educational career with Lamar,” states Dan McDonald, Chairman of the Chamber. “The New Teacher Roundup provides them with a true Texas welcome.”

This is an exciting opportunity for LCISD supporters to meet new teachers, and for new staff members to meet other new teachers in the district, as well as school board members, administrators and community leaders.

Sponsorships for the event are available at $200 and $250. Contact Janice Knight at 832-223-0334 for information or check the LCISD website.
